Long Island, NY — New York State Public Employees Federation, the second largest public sector union in the state, on Labor Day weekend endorsed Dean Murray (R-East Patchogue) for state Senate in the 3rd district.
PEF’s 54,0000 strong membership recognized Murray as a champion for Long Island’s hardworking families.
“We know that you appreciate and value the work performed by public employees in your district and around the state. You also understand the needs of working men and women and their families and support the programs and services that address these needs,” wrote PEF President Wayne Spence.
“There’s no better time to receive PEF’s endorsement than on Labor Day weekend. The hardworking men and women of Long Island and beyond know not only that they can count on me to support them, but to get things done,” said Murray.
PEF’s endorsement of Murray comes on the heels of the state’s largest public employees union, CSEA, backing the Murray campaign.
