County Corrections Officers Agree on Endorsing Murray
Patchogue, NY – A recently held meeting of the Suffolk County Corrections Officers Association (S.C.C.O.A) resulted in voting to endorse Dean Murray in his election bid for Senator of the 3rd Senate District.
In a letter, the Suffolk County Correction Officers Association President, Louis Viscusi said, “We are proud to endorse you [Dean Murray] to represent the 3rd Senate District. We wish you the best of luck in the upcoming election and look forward to working with you in the future.”
“Our Corrections Officers walk one of the most challenging beats anywhere. I am extremely proud to have their endorsement and am humbled to know that the hundreds of active and retired men and women of Corrections support my campaign for NYS Senate,” said Dean Murray. “I will always fight for our law enforcement in Albany to make sure they have all the tools necessary to do their jobs properly and safely.”
The Suffolk County Correction Officers Association represents over 900 active, hardworking men and women working in our correctional facilities throughout Suffolk, as well as 400 retired officers who still reside in the County. The Association states that the S.C.C.O.A. represents 900 of Suffolk’s boldest men and women New York.
